Chinese Food Facts

Is Chinese Food Actually Healthy?
Odds are, you’ve been told time and time again that Chinese food is not healthy. In reality, it is only the Americanized version of Chinese food that tends to be unhealthy. That’s because our version of Chinese cuisine tends to be loaded with sugar, fat, and MSG. Despite this, even the American version of Chinese food does boast some healthy staples such as Chicken and Broccoli or Beef and Broccoli. When you look outside of our own borders, you’ll quickly find that Chinese food is one of the healthiest cuisines in the world.

Authentic Chinese food is very healthy because it focuses on fresh ingredients and strives to achieve a balance between vegetables and meat. Meals tend to provide all of the nutrition a body needs. Additionally, authentic Chinese cuisine tends to rely on healthy cooking methods such as steaming and boiling. Deep-fried isn’t the only option. Chinese food is excellent at utilizing whatever nature gives them. Poultry, animals, seafood, vegetables, and fruits all find their place into amazing dishes.

Next time you eat Chinese food, know that food itself is not unhealthy. Most of the time, it comes down to authenticity and what you choose to order.
